Blu Technology has announced the launch of its new WATERSTOP system, an RV water system designed to catch leaks early and automatically shut off the water before a small problem turns into a much bigger repair bill.
According to Blu Technology, WATERSTOP is a patent-pending RV leak detection and automatic water shut-off system that connects directly to a standard 3/4-inch GHT RV water hose and can be installed in under two minutes without tools or pipe cutting. The system uses both continuous flow monitoring and wireless leak sensors to watch for trouble and automatically close the valve if it detects a leak or abnormal water flow.
How WATERSTOP Works
Blu Technology says WATERSTOP includes one wireless leak sensor and support for up to seven additional leak sensors. The sensors can be placed in common trouble spots like under the sink, near the toilet, or in a utility bay. If moisture is detected, the system sends an alert via the Blu Onyx app and automatically shuts off the incoming water supply.
The unit also allows RVers to manually turn the water on or off through the app or with a wireless remote. Blu Technology says that the remote works from roughly 32 to 98 feet away.
In addition to leak protection, WATERSTOP also tracks water usage, flow rate, and consumption time. Blu says the system can also monitor filter life and send maintenance reminders when a water filtration system is nearing the end of its service life.
