A new RV and glamping resort near Lake Havasu is preparing to welcome its first guests this spring.
Dwell Outdoor Hospitality says its new Dwell RV Resort & Casita Cabins in Topock, Arizona, will begin opening in phases, with the first 37 full-hookup RV sites and four park model cabins expected to be available in May. The rest of the resort is expected to come online by mid-summer.
When complete, the resort will include 164 full-hookup RV sites and 20 custom-designed park model cabins.
A New Option Near Lake Havasu
According to Dwell Outdoor Hospitality President McKay Quinn, the company sees strong demand in the greater Lake Havasu area, where travelers often have to plan far in advance to secure a spot.
Quinn said Dwell entered the market after surveying parks along the river and finding that many properties felt dated and underinvested. The goal, he said, was to build a newer park with a more upscale feel than many existing options in the area.
The resort is located in Topock, Arizona, near Lake Havasu, but it is not a waterfront property. Even so, Quinn said the elevated site offers wide views of the Mojave Desert, and some sites will also have distant views of Topock Bay.
Resort Amenities Planned for Summer Completion
Dwell says the resort is being designed with a quieter, family-friendly atmosphere and will not have the 55-and-over restrictions common at some Arizona parks.
RV sites will feature full concrete pads, paved roads, and landscaping at each site. Some premium sites will also include their own shade structures, built-in gas grills, fire pits, and mini fridges.
The resort’s park model units, branded as Casita Cabins, are being built by Iron Town Modular Homes in Spanish Fork, Utah.
Amenities expected to be completed this summer include:
- A clubhouse
- Resort-style pool and hot tub
- Fitness center
- Pickleball court
- Separate dog runs for large and small dogs
- Dog washing stations
- Bathhouse with private bathrooms and showers
Part of a Growing Portfolio
Dwell RV Resort & Casita Cabins is one of four properties owned and operated by Dwell Outdoor Hospitality. The company’s other parks include Nine Mile Resort in Wellington, Utah; Green River KOA Journey in Green River, Utah; and Garden Grove RV Resort in Sierra Vista, Arizona.
In addition to owning and operating parks, Dwell also provides third-party management services for outdoor hospitality properties.
