The Navajo Nation is temporarily closing all Navajo Nation Tribal Parks due to concerns about the spread of the coronavirus.
The closings include Four Corners Monument, Little Colorado River Tribal Park, Canyon de Chelly Campground, and Lake Powell Navajo Tribal Park, also known as Antelope Canyon.
The Nation is under a state-of-emergency declaration, a decision that centers around the safety of Nation employees. Employees are also asked not to travel outside the Nation, and if they do, are mandated to self-isolate for a period of 14 calendar days.
