GEN-Y Hitch has introduced two new products aimed at protecting fifth-wheel towing equipment—one designed to deter theft and another built to shield critical components from the elements when your RV is parked.

GEN-Y Hitch has introduced two new products designed to protect RV towing equipment: the GUARDIAN Gooseneck Coupler Lock, built from hardened steel to resist theft attempts, and a Fifth-Wheel Hitch Cover made from marine-grade vinyl to protect pin boxes from weather, debris, and pests while a trailer is parked or in storage.

GEN-Y Gooseneck Coupler Lock

The company’s new GUARDIAN Gooseneck Coupler Lock is designed to protect gooseneck connections from theft attempts, including those involving modern power tools.

The lock is constructed from hardened steel and features a high-security locking core intended to resist drilling, cutting, and other forced entry methods. GEN-Y says the design is built specifically to work with several of the company’s gooseneck systems, providing a secure fit for RV owners who tow fifth wheels using gooseneck adapters.

Security devices like coupler locks are becoming increasingly popular among RV owners as trailer theft remains a concern, particularly when rigs are stored for extended periods.

Fifth-Wheel Hitch Cover

GEN-Y also unveiled a Fifth-Wheel Hitch Cover designed to protect exposed pin boxes and hitch components when a trailer is parked or in storage.

The cover is made from marine-grade vinyl and is intended to guard against moisture, dirt, road debris, and even pests that can make their way into hitch components while an RV sits unused.

Protecting hitch components can help reduce corrosion and wear, especially for RVers who store their rigs outdoors for long stretches between trips.

Protecting Critical Towing Gear

Both products are focused on protecting some of the most important — and often exposed — parts of a fifth-wheel towing setup. Whether preventing theft or limiting weather damage, simple accessories like locks and covers can help extend the life of RV towing equipment.

GEN-Y Hitch has not yet announced retail pricing for the new products.
