‘Glamping’ is all the rage these days — from $700 a night tents in New York and Chicago to yurts overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Oregon. Now Yosemite Pines Resort near Yosemite National Park is offering a new glamping option: Conestoga Wagons.
The two climate-controlled wagons sleep either four or six people and offer amenities such as a small refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. Sleeping arrangements are a king-size bed and either one or two sets of bunk beds. The campsite offers a picnic table and a campfire ring, as well as access to the resort’s other amenities — a swimming pool, petting farm, bocce ball, volleyball, fitness trail, outdoor movies, deli, and hayrides. Nearby recreation includes touring California’s historic Gold Country, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, hiking, and trips to gorgeous waterfalls and swimming holes. Yosemite National Park is only 22 miles away.
Yosemite Pines also has quite a few other glamping options, including vintage Airstream trailers, yurts, and cabins. They’re offering “buy one night, get one night free” introductory pricing on the Conestoga Wagons through September 30, 2018. Pricing ranges from $149 to $289 a night.
