Several members of the RV industry have come together to create a new organization to mentor women in the RV industry. The newly formed “RV Women’s Alliance” will launch formally at RVX: The RV Experience, in Salt Lake City, March 13, 2019.
The vision, according to the press release, is to “elevate the roles and contributions women are making in the RV industry by promoting diversity and providing programs, resources and a collaborative environment for women who are pursuing long term careers in the industry.”
“We’re really excited to be forming this group,” said Alliance Chair Susan Carpenter. “With more and more women entering the industry, it’s a great time to encourage women to explore the variety of career opportunities available, help with mentorship, networking and more.”
“This is not meant to be an exclusive women’s club,” said Liz Crawford, Senior VP at the RV Industry Association. “There are so many organizations out there that act in a similar capacity. We want to provide folks with an opportunity to learn from others, seek ways to share best practices, and encourage women from all walks of life to enter this exciting market.”
Membership is open to both men and women who are interested in raising the profile of women.
