Outdoor cooking giants Weber and Blackstone merge. Weber is of course, an iconic grill company that’s been around for over 70 years and serves customers in more than 70 countries.
Blackstone primarily manufactures griddles, which have become extremely popular in recent years, especially with RVers. The company was founded in 2008 and has been pioneering the market.
Will the Weber and Blackstone Merge Create One Company Brand?
The brands will remain distinct and keep their respective headquarters, really Blackstone is getting a huge distribution bump by combining forces with Weber.
“We share Blackstone’s customer-centric emphasis and deep commitment to continuous innovation,” said Alan Matula, Chief Executive Officer of Weber. “Roger Dahle and his team have built a dynamic brand in outdoor griddles that has demonstrated both impressive growth and enduring appeal.”
“We are thrilled to join with Weber and bring together two outdoor cooking industry innovators to create immense value for our customers and team members alike,” said Chief Executive Officer Dahle. “With our complementary portfolios and similar cultures, I could not have imagined a better partner for Blackstone than Weber.”
Merge to Happen Early 2025
Matula will retire in 2025, and Dahle will take over the combined company sometime next year when the transaction closes. Upon completion of the transaction, the combined company will maintain a presence in both Palatine, Illinois and Logan, Utah.
