Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts, the nation’s second largest campground chain, is inviting prospective franchise investors and owners to an on-site workshop September 16-17 at its park in Burleson, Texas. The Jellystone Park system, which currently has 84 parks throughout the U.S. and Canada, is targeting the West and Southwest U.S. for expansion.
Year-to-date sales at the chain were up 11.7 percent during the first half of 2017 compared to 2016. For the first time, Leisure Systems, Inc., which owns the brand, was named to Entrepreneur magazine’s Franchise 500, which noted the Jellystone Park franchise’s “exceptional performance across several areas, including financial strength and stability, growth rate and brand power.” In Franchise Business Review’s most recent study released this month, the chain’s franchisees rated it 4.1 on a five-point scale for overall satisfaction.
Prospective franchisees will stay in a luxury cabin at the park. Jellystone Park executives and instructors from the National Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds management program will present educational sessions, and representatives from finance and insurance providers will be on-site.
“From sitting around the campfire and chatting with current franchise owners, to meeting with potential funders, this is a rare opportunity to experience and learn about a brand firsthand,” said Jim Westover, vice president of operations and general manager. “It will be a lot of fun, too.”
