Fleetwood RV, Holiday Rambler and American Coach have opened a new pre-delivery inspection center, a move REV Group says will help improve final checks and dealer delivery readiness.

According to the company, the new PDI Center is focused on final inspection and prep before motorhomes are shipped to dealers. Instead of handling those last checks as part of the normal production flow, this facility is meant to give quality teams a dedicated space to focus on the final details before a coach leaves the factory.

Why this matters for RV buyers

On the surface, this sounds like RV industry housekeeping. But for consumers, it could matter more than it seems.

The better a motorhome is inspected and prepared before it reaches the dealer, the better its chance of arriving at the dealership retail-ready. That can mean a smoother walkthrough, fewer loose ends, and less time spent on warranty repairs .

Of course, it does not replace the need for a careful dealer walkthrough or a possible third-party inspection. Buyers should still take their time, test systems, and ask questions before signing off. But any added attention on the factory side of final inspection is generally a good thing.

More focus on the handoff

โ€œIโ€™m proud of the work our team has done to bring the new PDI Center online,โ€ said Rob Kowalczyk, Fleetwoodโ€™s Director of Operations. โ€œThis facility gives us the time, space, and processes needed to continue to perform thorough final inspections so dealers receive motorhomes they can confidently present to their customers.โ€

Fleetwood officials say the PDI Center reinforces the companyโ€™s ongoing investment in quality systems designed to improve the dealer experience and a stronger first impression for customers at delivery.

For RVers shopping Fleetwood, Holiday Rambler or American Coach motorhomes, this move is really about that first handoff. When you step inside for the first time as the new owner, the coach should feel prepared for that moment.

And in an industry where first impressions still matter, that is not a small thing.
