FMCA, the world’s largest non-profit RV owners’ group, has announced dates and locations for several of their upcoming international conventions.
The 56-year-old organization hosts two conventions each year, which are part camping rally and part RV show, and chock-full of seminars, lectures, entertainment, vendors and more.
Plans for the 102nd International Convention and RV Expo will have thousands of members flocking to a new state: Nebraska. August 26 – 29, 2020, Lincoln, Nebraska’s Lancaster Event Center will temporarily become the largest congregation of RVs in the country. “We’re excited to be adding a new state to the list of those that have hosted an FMCA International Convention and RV Expo,” said FMCA national president Jon Walker. “Nebraska will be the 34th state on the list. The Lancaster Event Center is a first-class facility that should meet our needs well.”
“The Lancaster Event Center is a nationally recognized facility that has five interconnected buildings set on 160 acres. That will give us plenty of room for RV parking, seminars, indoor and outdoor exhibits, and all of the other activities associated with an FMCA event,” said Doug Uhlenbrock, FMCA events director. “Plus, Lincoln is a vibrant capital city, and RV families and exhibitors will be able to explore all that it and the surrounding area have to offer.” Registration will begin on February 26, 2020.
FMCA has also set dates and locations for other upcoming events, looking ahead as far as 2027. The organization’s most popular venue, the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter in Perry, Georgia, is on tap for the 103rd convention March 10 – 13, 2021, and the 107th March 15 through 18, 2023. Perry has hosted 11 FMCA conventions since 1996. The Cam-Plex Multi-Event Facilities in Gillette, Wyoming, which has hosted two FMCA RV conventions in recent years, has been booked for three more: July 7 – 10, 2021, July 17 – 20, 2024, and July 14 – 17, 2027.
Meanwhile, preparations are well underway for the FMCA’s 101st International Convention and RV Expo, dubbed “Sunsets + Saguaros,” set to take place at the Pima County Fairgrounds in Tucson, Arizona, March 26 through 29, 2020. RVers will bask in the Arizona sun to the tunes of musical guest Three Dog Night, while touring luxury motorcoaches and learning about all the latest gear and tips. RV Miles editors and podcast hosts Jason Epperson and Abigail Trabue will be on hand for a meet-and-greet and a trio of seminars.
Registration is open now at FMCA.com or by calling (800) 543-3622.
