If you aren’t listening to RV podcasts or other camping and travel related podcasts, you’re missing out on one of the best ways to pass a long drive or feed the camping itch in the off-season. And you’ll learn quite a bit to boot. Of course, we’re biased and think you really ought to be listening to the RV Miles Podcast, but there are several other RV podcasts out there that we recommend, as well as some others that are camping and outdoor recreation related.

If you’re new to podcasts or don’t even know what the heck a podcast is, that’s ok! A podcast is just an internet version of a radio show. The best way to listen is on a smartphone or tablet. There are lots of different podcasts apps out there, and most are free. Our favorite is an app called Podbean, but the Apple Podcasts app is good too, as well as Google Play and Stitcher. Just download the app and search for the shows on our list below. You can subscribe to a show and it will download episodes automatically when a new one is available. If you don’t have a smartphone, that’s ok, most of these podcasts have a website where you can listen on a computer or download shows for listening later.

Our favorite shows have one thing in common — they all have solid production values and are a joy to listen to.

RV Miles

Hey it’s us, Jason and Abby! As RVMiles.com editors we travel the country full-time with our three boys and have been on the road for almost five years. Closing in on 200 episodes, the weekly show focuses on great destinations across the country, RV news, basic tips, interviews, and a very large dose of fun. We may be biased, but since launching, we’ve been blown away by the support we’ve received from so many in the RV community and almost four years later we still hold a five-star rating on Apple Podcast with almost 1K reviews. We hope you’ll join us and help us grow the RV Miles community. You might also enjoy our America’s National Parks Podcast, a storytelling-style show focused on our nation’s treasures, and the See America Podcast, featuring stories designed to help you build one epic road trip.

The RV Podcast

Formerly titled “Roadtreking,” Mike and Jennifer Wendland’s weekly podcast touches on a variety of topics, including tips, travel advice from weekly interview segments, and answers to listener questions. We particularly enjoy the “off the beaten path” reports from contributors Tom and Patti Burkett. Mike and Jennifer travel extensively in a Class B motorhome and are do a good job of staying on top of all the industry trends.

This weekly podcast isn’t for every RVer, but if you’re looking to be a full-time traveler, Heath and Alyssa Padgett and their guests have all kinds of great advice and ideas for creating remote income and working from anywhere. They are certainly savvy entrepreneurs themselves, having been featured all over mainstream media.
