Volta’s storage system is built on automotive-grade lithium ion technology. Unlike competing RV systems which use consumer-grade LFP batteries, the Travato’s energy storage packs utilize NMC lithium ion chemistry, which is the same platform used for electric vehicle drivetrains. Winnebago has announced the launch of several new additions to their lineup, including a 4×4 all season Class B.
Winnebago is extending its warranty on any new Class A diesel motorhome purchased through August 31, 2017 to three years or 100,000 miles — a significant increase from the standard limited warranty of 12 months or 15,000 miles.
After double-digit growth in 2016, van-based motorhomes are projected to become the fastest-growing segment in the motorhome industry for 2017.
