This week we are coming to you from a hotel Fargo, ND. We are finally able to leave Minot, ND – but why?
Last time we left off, Jason was days away from having his final surgery to close the hole up in his head, unfortunately, during surgery it was discovered his brain was still too swollen to replace the skull piece, and so they were unable to perform the proceedure. They will try again in 6-8 months, and so we have made the decision that it is time to leave North Dakota and head back to family in the Illinois/Missouri area for the rest of the year.
After the break we chatted about the incredible, and somewhat Fellowship of the Rings like experience we had in Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
We spent our time in the south unit exploring shorter trails along the scenic drive, taking in an amazing sunset and seeing an incredible amount of wildlife.
Hikes we went on:
Old East Entrance Trail
Coal Vein Trail
Wind Canyon Trail
Hike we attempted:
Petrified Forest Trail
What our kids would say it was like hiking the Petrified Forest Trail:
