Take the pledge to protect wildlife during the National Wildlife Federation’s 14th annual Great American Campout for a chance to win a Keystone RV and a stay at a Jellystone park. Pledging to participate is free and open to all ages.

The initiative encourages camping by anyone, anywhere (park, beach, campground, forest, or backyard), and by any means (RV, tent, cabin, under the stars, etc.) throughout the summer and into autumn 2018. You can also get free family-friendly downloadable camping activities, recipes, and books themed with National Wildlife Foundation mascot Ranger Rick and his animal friends.

“Camping is the perfect antidote to our hyper-connected, technology-driven lives. Time spent outdoors with family, loved ones or even on your own helps you to decompress and reconnect with the important things in life,” explains Collin O’Mara, president and CEO of the National Wildlife Federation. “Camping gives us the opportunity to experience first-hand the beauty and diversity of the amazing wildlife with which we share our world. As the father of two little girls, I can’t think of a better activity to help our children learn compassion and respect for our planet.”

Keystone RV Company and Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts have returned as partners in the Great American Campout again in 2018. Everyone who pledges online at NWF.org/Campout will be entered to win a 20th anniversary Springdale Mini 1800 (valued at $15,500) and a week-long stay at one of the 75+ Jellystone parks, plus a $500 gift card for travel expenses and a $250 Jellystone gift card.

Ranger Rick will visit camping events hosted by Jellystone Parks across the country, and everyone who camps at a Jellystone Park will be counted as participating in the Great American Campout. Events will feature family-friendly activities including guided nature walks, wildlife-themed crafts, scavenger hunts, camping tips & how-to demonstrations, and more.
