Encore and Thousand Trails RV resorts and Campgrounds announced today that 83 of their 180 properties received the 2017 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence. With more than 180 locations across North America, nearly half of the Encore and Thousand Trails portfolio received the 2017 honor, a company record since the award was established.

“We are honored 83 of our properties earned TripAdvisor’s 2017 Certificate of Excellence,” said Pat Zamora, Vice President of Marketing for Encore and Thousand Trails. “This is an acknowledgment not only to the quality of our locations across North America, but also recognition of the dedication our management teams have to our actively engaged guests.”

Over the last four years, Encore and Thousand Trails have stepped up their efforts to achieve higher rankings, with a program called “Strive for 5” focusing on earning a five-star rating from its customers.

“TripAdvisor is excited to announce the recipients of the 2017 Certificate of Excellence, which celebrates hospitality businesses that have consistently received strong praise and ratings from travelers,” said Heather Leisman, Vice President of Industry Marketing, TripAdvisor. “This recognition allows us to publicly honor businesses that are actively engaging with customers and using feedback to help travelers identify and confidently book the perfect trip.”

The Certificate of Excellence takes into account the quality, quantity, and recency of reviews submitted by travelers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
